Reports - Bournemouth not planning Omur deal

8th January 2019, 18:12 by Tom Hill

Bournemouth are not looking to do a big-money deal for Trabzonspor's Abdulkadir Omur, according to reports in the English media.

Media reports in Turkey claimed the two clubs were in talks this week as they try to finalise a deal before the end of the month.

Omur has been described as the 'Turkish Messi' by some publications and Turkish website Fotospor had claimed the south-coast outfit had made a bid.

However, the Daily Echo believes Bournemouth are looking at other targets and are happy to let the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City fight it out for his signature.

Omur has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract but Bournemouth, who have already signed striker Dominic Solanke and right-back Nathaniel Clyne, are happy to bide their time on more deals.
