Andone backed to shine by March

7th December 2018, 12:11 by Aidan Perkins

Brighton winger Solly March has described Florin Andone as a "little pest" and predicted he will emerge as a star at the Amex Stadium.

The Romania international has had to wait patiently for a regular chance for the Seagulls but he's now scored in successive games and will hope to continue his good form against Burnley on Saturday.

March is well aware of the forward's qualities and believes he will make life difficult for opposing defenders in the Premier League.

He said on the club's website: "Andone’s a little pest, he’s hard to play against, he rats about and makes life hard for defenders. He’s strong and quick, so it’s nice to have him up front.

"You can see his hunger and passion from the work rate he shows on the pitch. It was a great goal against Palace and everyone enjoyed it.

"He came on after 35 minutes and was cramping up at the end, and that shows how hard he works for the team. I think he’s going to be a big fans’ favourite."
