Clean sheet targets for Albion star
Mathew Ryan says Brighton have set a target of 11 clean sheets this season and he feels if they manage that they will avoid relegation.
Albion have so far managed six shut-outs, with David Button securing one and Ryan the other five.
Brighton currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, five points clear of danger, and Ryan feels if they can keep five further clean sheets that should be enough to secure their top-flight status.
"We have goals we set out at the start of the season across numerous aspects of the team and what we can achieve," he told the Argus.
"Eleven clean sheets was the goal this season, having got 10 last season.
"This year we have been having to work harder for them and they have come along a bit slower than last season.
"We had that run of three in a row earlier in the season and then nothing after that, but then Watford and again on Saturday [a 1-0 win over Huddersfield], so hopefully we can get to that mark and, if we do, then it is going to be coupled with us being safe for next season."
