Hughton plays down new faces
Brighton manager Chris Hughton has restated his belief that it will be a low-key end to the January transfer window for his club.
Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is expected to be confirmed as a Seagulls player before the end of the month but the South American will continue playing in his homeland for the remainder of the current campaign.
With no new additions to the playing squad this month, Hughton has tempered expectations of any late movement in the January window, as his side prepare for Saturday's FA Cup encounter with West Brom.
He said: “My feeling is that we won’t be bringing anybody in.
“We have had a couple of young players go out on loan, Markus Suttner has gone out on loan, possibly one other going out on loan.
“But I think we are as we are at the moment and I don’t see that changing.”
