Palace trip too soon for Gross
Pascal Gross will remain on the sidelines for Brighton's trip to rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday, Chris Hughton has confirmed.
The Seagulls boss revealed that the midfielder would miss the lunchtime trip to south London because of a hamstring injury, but he could return for the FA Cup quarter-final tie at Millwall on Sunday week.
Hughton said: "We will see how it goes this week, he is not back training but has been doing some good work with the medical department.
"He has a chance for Millwall possibly, if not it will be after the international break."
Defender Leon Balogun remains sidelined with a shoulder injury, but Hughton has no new issues to deal with as he called for cool heads from his players ahead of the derby clash at Selhurst Park.
He added: "It's about cool heads and keeping yourself controlled too – there's always a message to take on board about discipline - they're always good and competitive matches, you have to make sure you take the atmosphere on board and not lose our discipline, and that’s the way we'll have to play.
"They have some very good individuals and are in good form and we know we'll have to be at our best."
