Potter refusing to put timescale on winger return
Graham Potter is refusing to put a timescale on Jose Izquierdo’s return and insists the Brighton winger won’t be rushed back.
Potter will get the opportunity to assess his options over the coming weeks as they squad return to the south coast to embark on their pre-season campaign.
But he won't get the chance to take a look at winger Izquierdo as he continues to work his way back from a second knee cartilage operation.
The new boss believes the Colombia international could be back in the mix later in the year but he insists he won't be rushed back.
Potter said: "He is still in the early stages of his rehab at the moment, so I don't really want to put any timescale.
"You are looking towards sort of the first couple of months in the season.
"So that's disappointing in terms of you want to work with him. It is what it is.
"My job then is to support him, make sure he has got the right rehab path."
