Burnley's big bid for Barca kid - Report
Burnley reportedly offered £10.5million for Marc Cucurella, but were beaten to the signing of the Barcelona full-back by Getafe.
Marca claims the Clarets made a 12m euros offer to Barcelona for Cucurella, who impressed while on loan at Eibar last season.
The 20-year-old impressed enough for Eibar to sign him for 2m euros before Barcelona activated their buy-back clause for 4m in the hope to sell him for even more.
However, the attacking full-back opted to stay in Spain instead and has now joined Getafe on a season-long loan deal with the Madrid-based club holding the option to sign him for 6m euros.
During his presentation at Getafe, Cucurella revealed that he was swayed by the proposition of playing under Jose Bordalas as well as the attraction of Europa League football.
