Clarets character impresses Dyche

6th February 2019, 10:28 by Alex Jack

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has praised his players' character after going six games without defeat in the Premier League.

After a torrid start to the season, the Clarets are now starting to pick up valuable points and have managed to avoid defeat since losing 5-1 to Everton on Boxing Day.

There is still a long way to go, with just two points between themselves and the relegation zone, but their recent form has certainly been pleasing for manager Dyche.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: “It all has to come together at some point and I’m very pleased that the signs are strong at the moment.

“Six games unbeaten in the Premier League is not easy and the mentality of those performances has been key.

“It shows there is a strength to us, which we’ve always had, but now it’s coming back and you can sense it.

“People are going the extra inches that count and sometimes it’s hard to define what makes that work, or not work."
