Clarets midfielder facing fitness race

29th March 2019, 12:35 by Bobbie Jackson

Johann Berg Gudmundsson is a doubt for Burnley's meeting with Wolves on Saturday after picking up an injury on international duty.

The 28-year-old travelled to represent Iceland over the international break but sustained an injury in their opening match against Andorra.

Iceland claimed a 2-0 win but it came at a cost, with Gudmundsson limping out of the game in the second half with a calf problem.

The rest of Burnley's international contingent returned unscathed but Aaron Lennon and Steven Defour remain on the sidelines.
