Clarets trio face fitness tests

24th December 2018, 12:13 by Simon Barlow

Sean Dyche's Burnley side are in the midst of an injury crisis ahead of their Boxing Day clash with Everton at Turf Moor.

The Burnley boss was left to rue refereeing errors and perceived 'diving' from opposition players again as his side went down 3-1 at Arsenal on Saturday, leaving the Clarets in the relegation zone at Christmas.

Aaron Lennon, Nick Pope and Stephen Ward are all out for the visit of Marco Silva's men - who have a day less than Burnley to recover from their 6-2 home mauling by Spurs.

Robbie Brady, Steven Defour and Johann Gudmundsson also missed the defeat to the Gunners and will face fitness tests before Dyche settles on his line-up.
