Crouch targets fresh terms
Peter Crouch says he's hoping to do enough this term to earn a new contract at Burnley beyond the summer window.
The former England international secured a short-term deal at Turf Moor last month and made his debut for the Clarets in a 1-1 draw against Southampton on Saturday.
With the rest of the season to prove his worth, the 38-year-old is eager to contribute and earn himself an extended stay in the Premier League with the Lancashire outfit.
"If I do the business and if I play well, I'll be trying my best, so beyond this season, who knows?" Crouch told reporters.
"I feel like a kid again, being out there in the Premier League. That's where I want to be and I'm excited about it.
"I never wanted to leave [the Premier League]. It's a shame what happened at Stoke and I'm just grateful for this opportunity."
