Defender - Burnley still with work to do
Burnley's James Tarkowski says the job of Premier League survival is not over yet despite Saturday's win over Tottenham.
The Clarets are now on a record-breaking unbeaten run in the top flight and have pulled away from the relegation places at the bottom of the Premier League, now sitting in 14th spot six points clear of the bottom three.
Tarkowski is pleased with the way things have been going since the turn of the year, but, ahead of the trip to Newcastle on Tuesday, says they job is not done yet.
He told reporters: "Our manager is not stupid, he knows we are not out of it but he knows that the way we are performing we just need to keep pushing with that.
"I think the training in the last few months has been top class and you can just see the lads are ready to go when it comes to a matchday, we go out there to perform.
"There was a lot of questions over us at the start of the season because we were conceding a lot of goals so that is rightly so. Now we have shown what we are about and what we can do and I think everyone in the team is pulling together in the right direction - defensively and going forward.
"We will keep building, we know how well we have done to get to where we are but we can't undo that good work now."
