Defour struggling to make Brighton game
Steven Defour will be assessed ahead of Burnley's Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Belgium international was left out of Sean Dyche's line-up for Wednesday’s 3-1 Turf Moor defeat to Liverpool as a precaution.
Defour had started the Clarets' six previous games after overcoming knee problems that ended his 2017-18 season prematurely in February.
Dyche said: "We'll have to wait and see, but he couldn't make the bench on Wednesday night."
Dyche admits Saturday's home clash against Brighton is "a really big game for us", with Burnley now winless in eight games.
He recalled Ashley Westwood, Ashley Barnes and Phil Bardsley to the side that faced Liverpool and could keep faith with the majority of that line-up after seeing Burnley put in a much-improved performance.
