Dyche has options out wide for Seagulls clash

8th February 2019, 11:36 by Simon Barlow

Johan Berg Gudmundsson could return to the Burnley line-up at Brighton on Saturday with Robbie Brady also back in the reckoning.

Both wide players came off the bench in Burnley's 1-1 home draw with Southampton last weekend and could be heavily involved for the trip to the south coast to face the Seagulls.

Gudmundsson missed almost an entire month of football after picking up a thigh muscle problem on January 5 while Brady's comeback from injury was interrupted by a three-match ban for a poor challenge on Isaac Mbenza in the win over Huddersfield.

Boss Sean Dyche has confirmed Matt Lowton is back in training after a toe problem although Steven Defour and Aaron Lennon are out of contention for the clash at the Amex Stadium.

Peter Crouch is likely to remain on the bench as Dyche's 'impact substitute' despite impressing after coming on in the second half of the match against the Saints.
