Dyche pleased with McNeil management
Sean Dyche believes he and his Burnley staff got their timing right when introducing Dwight McNeil into the first team.
The 19-year-old had been in the picture for a while due to his performances through the age grades but had to wait until the end of December for his first Premier League start.
McNeil has since gone from strength-to-strength and netted in the club's last two games - the 2-1 defeat to Leicester and the 2-0 win over Wolves.
In amongst that he also featured for England's Under-20s and after nurturing him through the club's ranks, Dyche believes he was brought into the senior fold at the perfect time.
"It's his first half-a-season but he's going very well," he said. "Myself and my staff were looking at him earlier on in the season and it was all about the timing of it. I thought the freshness of a young player was needed when I changed it.
"He's definitely played his part in how we've started to turn things around.
"He'll grow, he'll mature and I hope he'll carry on progressing because he is some player for a 19-year-old."
