Dyche reflects on superb year
Sean Dyche is relishing the battle ahead but feels there were some "magnificent moments" for Burnley in 2018.
The Clarets enjoyed their best Premier League finish last season, ending the 2017-18 campaign in seventh spot to book a place in the Europa League.
While that ultimately ended in failure, the fact a club such as Burnley enjoyed six games in Europe's second-tier competition proved just how far they have come.
Things have not gone so well so far this campaign, and at the turn of the year the Turf Moor outfit find themselves in 18th spot in the table with 15 points from 20 games played.
However, Dyche is already looking forward to sorting things out after allowing himself a little time to reflect on the good times.
"You can’t help but marvel at the year we’ve just had, even though you equally can’t over think it," he told the club's official website.
"The next game is always the most important and I’m good at parking things pretty quickly. Not because they aren’t important, but I think what we achieved here I’ll look back on and enjoy in many years to come.
"It has to be mentioned though and it’s right to, because there have been some magnificent moments this year for this football club.
"At the moment it just looks a little cloudy because of where we are, but that’s the job. It’s now that we have to look after that."
