Hart emerges as Preston target
Preston are interested in signing Burnley keeper Joe Hart on loan but no decision has yet been made over his future.
Burnley's Lancashire rivals had reportedly asked the Clarets about the possibility of signing the England international this month but have so far been told he's not available.
Hart lost his place as Burnley No.1 to fit-again Tom Heaton for the 2-0 win over West Ham on December 30 and he faces a battle to regain his spot after some questionable performances in the first half of the season.
With Nick Pope also now fit following a shoulder injury, Burnley boss Sean Dyche has the luxury of three England internationals to choose from and one is being tipped to leave on a temporary basis in January.
Tellingly, Pope was selected in goal for the FA Cup win over Barnsley on Saturday, with Hart on the bench, and the former Man City, Torino and West Ham man may now find himself third choice at Turf Moor.
If that is the case, a loan switch could be on the cards and a move to Preston, or another Championship club, could appeal to the 31-year-old.
However, it's thought Dyche is yet to decide on who will be his regular first and second-choice keepers and all three have been linked with loan moves away in recent weeks.
