Heaton linked with exit
Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has again being linked with a switch to Leeds United.
The Whites were hoping to take the Newcastle number three Karl Darlow on loan until the end of the season, or buy him on a permanent deal if the price was right, but those hopes have been dashed as the Magpies want £4m for his services to finance their own transfer plans.
Leeds are now set to turn their attentions back to England star Heaton, who is in a three-way battle at Turf Moor for the number one spot with Nick Pope and Joe Hart.
Heaton was recently restored to the first team but was then left out again at the weekend, and the fact remains boss Sean Dyche has three keepers for just two places in the first-team squad, so someone is going to miss out.
A temporary loan move across the Pennines could suit all parties.
