Taylor urges Clarets response
Burnley defender Charlie Taylor says his team must put in the same display they showed against Tottenham if they are to beat Liverpool.
The Clarets produced a fine performance to overcome Spurs at Turf Moor last month, with a 2-1 victory hampering the north London outfit's outside hopes of a Premier League title.
However, Sean Dyche's side have suffered back-to-back defeats against Newcastle United and Crystal Palace since their win over over Mauricio Pochettino's side.
With title-chasing Liverpool to come in Sunday's encounter at Anfield, Taylor knows his side must get back to the kind of football that helped them claim three points against Spurs if they are to get anything out of the trip to Merseyside.
He told the Burnley Express: "We don’t get down. We’ve got a massively tough game at Liverpool next Sunday, but we need to get back to it, and get back to the level of performance we showed against Spurs.
"I thought it was strange [against Palace]. In the first half, I thought we played some really good stuff, but it was just that end product that was missing. That’s what we need to get better at.
"I thought we played some really good stuff. We threatened their goal a lot and made a few chances, so it was a strange one. In the second half, we will hold our hands up and say that we weren’t good enough."
