Wood expects even more from Burnley
Chris Wood believes Burnley are now back to where they should be after overcoming a tough start to the season.
After finishing seventh last term, Europa League commitments meant the Clarets had an early start to the season and like so many before them, saw their domestic hopes falter.
However, after some encouraging signs before Christmas, Sean Dyche's men are unbeaten in their last five, four of those being victories.
The solitary draw came on Saturday at Watford where Wood saw a second-half goal harshly ruled out for offside.
While the result leaves them 16th in the table, three points clear of the relegation places, the Kiwi forward feels his team are heading in the right direction after recovering from their early-season slump.
He said: “The team is working well, we've got back to where we were last season, everybody has their ups and downs over the course of the season. Ours came at the start but now we're working hard to get back to where we should be.
"We've got a great team playing great football at the moment. They're putting on some great chances so as long as we keep that going then we'll always have chances.”
