Bluebirds' Tameze swoop in major doubt
Cardiff have reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze as their transfer window frustration continues.
The Bluebirds have already missed out on Liverpool full-back Nathaniel Clyne to Bournemouth this January, while it looks highly unlikely that Nantes' Argentinian forward Emiliano Sala will be moving to south Wales after his club's president, Waldemar Kita, insisted that they have no plans to sell him.
However, a move to bring in 24-year-old Tameze looked to be close, with a £10million fee thought to have been agreed with the French Ligue 1 outfit and personal terms being thrashed out.
Boss Neil Warnock said after the shock FA Cup exit against Gillingham on Saturday that he expected movement on one deal, which was believed to be Tameze.
However, reports are now suggesting the Bluebirds pulled the plug on the transfer late on Tuesday evening and will now look at other options in their quest to strengthen.
