Bluebirds remain without Arter
Harry Arter has been ruled out of Cardiff City's Premier League clash at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
The Republic of Ireland international picked up a calf strain when running off the pitch to be substituted in the 2-0 defeat at Burnley last weekend and has been ruled out for the second game running.
Cardiff will also hand a late fitness test to Aron Gunnarsson, who is suffering from back spasms, meaning Leandro Bacuna is likely to slot in as his replacement if needed.
Callum Paterson, who scored in the reverse fixture at Anfield, misses the game with an ankle issue, while goalkeeper Alex Smithies and Matthew Connolly are also sidelined.
Defender Sol Bamba is a long-term absentee after he was ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury.
James Mason grew up in Northumberland so is entrenched in both the football and golf scenes. A low handicap golfer, he also follows Newcastle United and predicts big things under Rafa Benitez.
