Bluebirds to swoop for Leistner
Queens Park Rangers defender Toni Leistner has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer market for Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds have struggled at the back in the Premier League, conceding 57 goals, and the Welsh outfit are currently set to drop down to the Championship as they sit 18th in the standings, two points from safety.
Cardiff are already eyeing up potential summer targets and strengthening at the back is a huge focus, with QPR centre-back Leistner said to be top of the transfer wish-list.
Since arriving at Loftus Road on a free last summer after his contract expired at Union Berlin, the 28-year-old has become an integral part of the first team, making 34 Championship appearances and scoring two goals.
The German defender is said to be valued at around £5million and Cardiff are believed to be willing to pay that amount, although they may face competition for Leistner's signature from Aston Villa.
