Defender linked with Bluebirds
As Neil Warnock looks to strengthen his squad, Monaco right-back Almany Toure is being linked with a switch to Cardiff City.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock said after his side's defeat at Arsenal on Tuesday he wanted to sign a "a couple of defenders" before the January transfer deadline on Thursday night.
He said: "We need a couple of defenders to supplement the squad, because we are short in numbers there.
"We are working hard behind the scenes to try and bring one or two in."
The 22-year-old has struggled for game-time with the club, despite their problems at the bottom of Ligue 1, and has only appeared five times this season under both Leonardo Jardim and Thierry Henry.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and will therefore be allowed to move on for next to nothing, so Monaco might prefer to cash in now rather than lose him on a free in the summer.
