Much to ponder for Warnock

29th January 2019, 12:48 by Neil Foster

Selection will be centred around who is mentally right to play when Cardiff City take on Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

The disappearance of new signing Emiliano Sala has left a cloud hanging over the club and manager Neil Warnock admitted at his Monday press conference that it had been tough to sleep.

Players have been receiving counselling and it remains to be seen which ones are in the right frame of mind to take to the north London pitch.

The veteran tactician, while devastated, admits that playing football might actually help his men, but nobody will be forced to turn out against their wishes.

On the physical front, Sean Morrison is out after recovering from an appendix operation while Jazz Richards and Kenneth Zohore are doubts, but Harry Arter should be back after he missed the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Warnock said: "We feel we’ve got to go more regarding who we think will get more out of it than probably the team that we would have picked."
