Paterson tipped to lead Bluebirds attack

7th December 2018, 11:25 by Alex Jack

Cardiff City's Callum Paterson is expected to lead the attacking line once again ahead of the clash with Southampton on Saturday.

Manager Neil Warnock finds himself short in the attacking department ahead of the arrival of the Saints he and travelled to France in midweek to see Nantes star Emiliano Sala ahead of the January window.

With Ken Zohore, Danny Ward and Gary Madine all expected to miss the weekend's game, Paterson could be the man to once again lead the attack at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Warnock said: "Gary Madine has had a problem, Danny Ward is injured and Ken Zohore has had one day’s training. The striking problems don’t go away, we’ve still got Jazz (Richards) and Ken unavailable."
