Sala deal on cards after Warnock watches

6th December 2018, 15:39 by Aidan Perkins

Neil Warnock and Cardiff assistant Kevin Blackwell reportedly personally checked out Nantes star Emiliano Sala in action on Wednesday.

Sala scored his 13th goal of the season and got an assist in Nantes' 3-2 win over Marseille in Ligue 1 - and Warnock and Blackwell were believed to be in the stands to see him in action ahead of a possible January transfer bid.

Warnock wants to add some more firepower to his squad next month as he looks to guide them away from the relegation zone and Sala could be the man he turns to.

The 28-year-old has shone in France so far this season but he's likely to be in big demand in January, as Cardiff's Premier League rivals Leicester, Burnley, West Ham and Everton are all also being linked with making a move.
