Warnock delighted with Bacuna business
Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock says the club have made a shrewd signing after landing Leandro Bacuna on deadline day.
It was an emotional January transfer window for the Bluebirds, with Emiliano Sala's disappearance on a flight from France to Wales still dominating the headlines.
To end the month, Cardiff managed to wrap up a deal for versatile Reading star Leandro Bacuna, who is believed to have cost around £3million, on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Speaking about the 27-year-old, who could feature in Saturday's home Premier League clash against Bournemouth, Warnock says he is relieved to have acquired his services.
"We were fortunate we managed to get Bacuna over the line," he said at a press conference on Friday. "He's a player I like and I've watched over the last three years.
"He can play wherever the need is. I've seen him at right-back, left-back, playing in central midfield and also on the right wing. He's versatile. We need a player like him, like (Callum) Paterson, who can help out in numerous positions."
