Warnock ready to unleash Bacuna

1st February 2019, 17:57 by Tom Hill

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock looks set to hand new midfielder Leandro Bacuna a start against Bournemouth on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old joined on transfer deadline day on Thursday after the Bluebirds agreed a fee with Championship outfit Reading.

He is now set to start in the heart of midfield as Warnock looks for fresh ideas after a tough few weeks in the top flight.

Cardiff have not won any of their last five games in the Premier League and Warnock will be hoping Bacuna can provide a spark after his recent move.

Fellow midfielder Harry Arter cannot play against his parent club although Victor Camarasa and Josh Murphy could return after missing the midweek defeat by Arsenal on Tuesday night.
