Chelsea boss linked with Italy return
Maurizio Sarri is being linked with a return to Italy as AS Roma are reported to be weighing up a swoop for the Chelsea boss.
Sarri has had a difficult first season in charge at Stamford Bridge after arriving from Napoli and has felt the wrath of the fans, who are far from impressed with his "Sarri-ball" philosophy.
There is a huge question mark over whether he will remain in charge beyond the end of the season and much could depend on how they finish the season.
If Chelsea clinch Champions League football by winning the Europa League or finishing in the top four of the Premier League, there is a good chance he could stay. If not then he looks to be heading for the exit door and that is what Roma are banking on.
The Serie A side would not be able to afford the kind of compensation figure Chelsea would demand to release him and need him to be a free agent.
Former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri is currently in charge of Roma, but only has a deal until the end of the season and it is unlikely to be renewed.
