Chelsea veteran vows to help youngsters
Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta says the experienced members of the squad will help the youngsters adapt to life in the first-team.
Chelsea are under a transfer embargo so new boss Frank Lampard may have to rely on the academy in the coming campaign to pad out his squad at times.
Azpilicueta is confident the youngsters have the quality to compete in the Premier League, and he says the senior members of the squad will help them make the transition.
"He [Lampard] is very keen to give opportunities to the younger players," Azpilicueta told the Evening Standard.
"All the senior players, we are happy and we are trying to help all of them.
"Frank knows the young players very well. His staff have been working with a lot of youngsters through the years.
"We have the best academy in England and, obviously, it is a chance for all of them to step up and to see them in the first team."
