Lampard - Zouma is going nowhere
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has announced he wants to keep hold of Kurt Zouma ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Lampard has been running the rule over his squad since replacing Maurizio Sarri earlier this month at Stamford Bridge.
The former Derby County coach is expected to put his faith in the club's youngsters this season but Zouma's future was up in the air.
He has spent the last two seasons out on loan but the boss is set to keep him as he tries to work with five central defenders.
"I want him here, simple as that. He is a fine player and a good man who will benefit our squad," he said.
"He had a very good season at Goodison Park this summer but an injury to Antonio Rudiger has ruined any chance of that happening.
David Luiz, Fikayo Tomori and Andreas Christensen are Lampard's other options at centre-back but he will be unable to add any other fresh faces until the club's transfer ban is over next summer.
Tom Hill offers a strong insight into football and rugby league, whilst also having a good knowledge of several other sports including boxing, horse racing and American Football.
