Dann left disappointed after derby defeat
Crystal Palace centre-back Scott Dann says the defeat to Brighton on Saturday was a real "kick in the teeth" for the whole club.
The Eagles were the favourites ahead of kick-off but they fell behind after an error from James Tomkins allowed Glenn Murray a shot on goal.
Anthony Knockaert eventually cancelled out Luka Milivojevic's penalty thanks to his sublime strike and the defeat leaves Palace still in a relegation battle. They are five points above safety with eight games to play and Dann admits Saturday's defeat was a huge blow.
He told London News Online: "To have the previous couple of results we have had, especially away from home and the really good one we had last week [against Burnley], we came into this match full of confidence.
"It was a big couple of weeks for us - we wanted to get another three points on the board but today hasn’t gone to plan.
"To lose any game is disappointing, but with it being a derby and the atmosphere we had at the stadium, it’s tough to take, like any defeat, especially when we felt we should have done a lot better with the amount of possession we had.
"We started the game on top so to concede like that was a bit of a kick in the teeth."
