Palace allow Sorloth to join Gent
Crystal Palace have revealed striker Alexander Sorloth has left the club to join Gent on loan until the end of the season.
The Norwegian had been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park for several weeks and has now sealed his exit.
He signed from Danish side Midtjylland 12 months ago but struggled for consistency and he failed to score a single goal in 16 appearances.
Sorloth is the second forward to leave the club this month after Jason Puncheon headed to Huddersfield Town on loan.
Sorloth is not expected to have a future at the Eagles but manager Roy Hodgson admitted earlier this week he has seen glimpses of his ability.
"He's a much better player than he's been able to show in the games because we see his accuracy every day in training," Hodgson said.
"But for goalscorers and centre-forwards, confidence does play a big part."
Tom Hill offers a strong insight into football and rugby league, whilst also having a good knowledge of several other sports including boxing, horse racing and American Football.
