Palace boosted by Hennessey return

24th December 2018, 11:02 by Tom Hill

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is set to recall keeper Wayne Hennessey and midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate for the game with Cardiff.

The Wales international has missed the last two games against Leicester City and Manchester City respectively, but the Eagles have managed to pick up six points in that time.

Spaniard Vicente Guaita has filled in but Hodgson is set to recall his regular number one.

Kouyate is also set to return, although he may need to settle for a place in the bench after a superb win at the Etihad Stadium.

It is not all good news for Hodgson because full-back Martin Kelly is doubtful with an abductor injury while Christian Benteke remains on the sidelines with a knee problem.
