Palace involved in battle to land Okereke
Crystal Palace face a battle to sign David Okereke this summer as two more teams have joined the race for the Spezia front man.
The Eagles have reportedly been long-term admirers of the Nigerian who has enjoyed a breakthrough season in Italy's second-tier, scoring six goals in 18 Serie B appearances to help keep Spezia in the promotion hunt.
The 21-year-old's form has certainly not gone unnoticed, as Palace, Italian giants Juventus, Ajax, Standard Liege and Eibar have all reportedly been monitoring his situation.
However, now two more teams are believed to have joined the race, with FC Copenhagen and Saint-Etienne both showing an interest.
The Danish club could be about to steal a march in the race, as they sent scouts to watch Okereke in action during Spezia's 1-0 win over Cittadella on Saturday.
That means Palace may have to move quickly if they want to secure Okereke's services.
The jury remains out on Palace's current strikers, as injuries and a loss of form has disrupted Connor Wickham and Christian Benteke’s time at Selhurst Park, while Michy Batshuayi's loan from Chelsea only runs until the end of the season.
