Sakho still missing for Palace

3rd April 2019, 12:26 by Craig Smithson

Crystal Palace will be without only Mamadou Sakho when they become the first visitors to Tottenham's new stadium on Wednesday.

Boss Roy Hodgson confirmed that he has a near full-strength squad at his disposal for the historic game, with just influential central defender Sakho ruled out for the rest of the season because of a knee injury.

Hodgson said: "Mamadou Sakho is the one I can't select at the moment; we are blessed that we don't have too many injuries."

The former England boss could be tempted to stick with the same side which relegated Huddersfield on Saturday after a 2-0 win at Selhurst Park.

The game will be all about Spurs starting life in their new home but Hodgson is looking to ruin the night for the north Londoners as his side bid to secure a third consecutive away win the Premier League.

"We are looking forward to playing in that stadium and regard it as a great opportunity to mark it ourselves," he added.
