Souare could make Palace return

15th March 2019, 12:49 by Jack Ogalbe

Roy Hodgson could include Pape Souare in his starting line-up for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final at Watford.

The Eagles reached the final of this competition in 2016, losing out to Manchester United 2-1 in extra-time.

Palace beat Watford in the semi-finals and Souare played in that game but has since had his career blighted by injury.

A shoulder problem has been his latest complaint but he has trained all week and is likely to be part of the squad that travels to Hertfordshire.

He strengthens Hodgson's options amid injuries to Mamadou Sakho and Bakary Sako. Sakho has a knee injury that could end his season and Sako remains short of match fitness.

The Eagles have lost both of their games against Watford this season 2-1.
