Unsettled Zaha targeted by Everton
Everton are reportedly ready to try and sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfiried Zaha, who has told the Eagles he wants to join Arsenal.
Zaha has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer with Arsenal already having one offer of £40million rejected by Palace.
The Ivory Coast international has advised his club he wants to make the move to the Emirates and join the team he supported as a boy but the deal is proving tricky to complete as the Gunners are way off the £80million asking price.
And now the Evening Standard is claiming Everton are also interested in the 26-year-old and may be able to afford Zaha as the Blues' majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, flexes his muscles in the transfer market.
Everton are expected to recoup at least £20million from the sale of Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig and will use some of that to try and fund a move for Zaha.
However, the chances of the former Manchester United man making the move to Goodison Park appear remote as he has his sights set on a switch to Arsenal or, if that fails to materialise, is expected to reluctantly accept he will have to stay at Selhurst Park until at least the winter transfer window.
