Zaha ready to defend himself
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is planning to appeal his FA charge for improper conduct, according to reports in the English press.
The Ivory Coast international is hoping to avoid a further ban after being sent off against Southampton at the end of January.
He was dismissed at St Mary's after first clashing with Saints midfielder James Ward-Prowse and then being shown a second yellow for clapping towards referee Andre Marriner.
Zaha was automatically given a one-match ban and missed the 2-0 win over Fulham as a result.
The FA are set to hand out further punishment but the former Manchester United player is willing to stand his ground.
He reportedly wants the chance to explain his actions in a bid to prevent another ban that could see him miss the clash with West Ham United.
