Zaha welcomes attacking options
Wilfried Zaha has welcomed the extra attacking options available for Crystal Palace and feels it will help him to perform.
The Eagles have been without a recognised striker for the majority of the campaign with Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham both on the treatment table.
Zaha was often deployed through the middle with fellow winger Andros Townsend also being asked to play out of position as cover.
But the duo have been able to enjoy their football out wide over recent weeks with Benteke back to full fitness and following the January arrival of Michy Batshuayi on-loan from Chelsea.
The Ivorian netted twice in Palace’s 4-1 win over Leicester at the weekend and believes the added depth in the final third has allowed him to play with more freedom.
Zaha said: “Before, me and Andros [Townsend] had to scramble up top trying the best we can but now there’s so many options.
"It makes such a difference when we take our time with the final pass and hitting the target is then the main thing.”
