Defensive pair in line for Everton return

15th March 2019, 18:48 by James Mason

Everton have both Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines available for Sunday's home Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Republic of Ireland international Coleman missed the 3-2 defeat at Newcastle United because of illness but he has overcome the issue to put himself in contention to face the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Former England international Leighton Baines has not featured since the start of February due to a back problem but he is available for selection after returning to full fitness.

French centre-back Kurt Zouma is ineligible to face his parent club while fellow defender Phil Jagielka is unlikely to return until after the upcoming international break.

Manager Marco Silva may decide to make changes to his starting XI after giving up a 2-0 lead at St James' Park last time out, with Cenk Tosun, Tom Davies and Morgan Schneiderlin pushing for starts.
