Galloway expecting another loan

13th June 2018, 15:53 by Aidan Perkins

Everton defender Brendan Galloway is keen on another loan move away this summer but will hope to stay in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old was out on loan last season at Championship side Sunderland but the campaign did not go to plan as the Black Cats were relegated down to League One.

Galloway only made 10 appearances and was out of contention completely in the second half of the season when Chris Coleman took over at the Stadium of Light so he returns to Goodison Park with his future uncertain.

However, rather than trying to push for a place in Marco Silva's plans for the upcoming season, Galloway reportedly wants to get regular action out on loan - ideally at a top-flight club.

The likes of recently-promoted Fulham and Cardiff may be keen, while Bournemouth and Huddersfield have also been tentatively linked.

If he fails to secure a loan to a Premier League rival, there will be several clubs in the Championship ready to offer him a chance to shine.

Galloway has two years remaining on his Blues contract but hasn't made a first-team appearance since September 2016.
