Gomes full of praise for Toffees

9th April 2019, 19:44 by Tom Hill

Everton's Andre Gomes believes the chemistry within the dressing room has helped him improve in the last 12 months.

The Portuguese midfielder joined the club last summer on loan and he has been a huge hit on Merseyside.

He has made 25 appearances for the Toffees since leaving Barcelona, with his display against Arsenal on Sunday catching the eye.

Gomes has managed to score one goal in Everton colours and has thanked everyone at the club for helping him settle into a new country.

"Marco Silva has been very good for me," Gomes told the club's official website.

"Not just the manager, though, but all of his coaching staff. And if you have good team-mates with high quality, too, you will learn much more, so I have to thank all of them.

"There is a lot of high quality around me, so it is easier for me to play and create the space for them. We try to get the chemistry with players around us."
