Sports director drops Lookman hint

19th July 2019, 10:25 by Simon Barlow

RB Leipzig's sports director Markus Krosche has dropped a big hint that the Bundesliga club are pushing hard to sign Ademola Lookman.

Krosche described the Toffees forward perfectly when answering a question about the type of player the Bundesliga club are looking to add in the current transfer window.

Reports have indicated the two clubs are moving closer in negotiations over the player, who spent a successful six months on loan with Leipzig at the start of 2018.

And Krosche told Sky Germany from Leipzig's pre-season training camp in Austria that the club were seeking "someone who can come on the wings, who has a good one-on-one ability and who can play in several positions in the offensive area".

Everton are understood to want £24.5million for the 21-year-old while Leipzig were only willing to pay £18million, although a compromise fee of £22.5million was reported to be close.
