Striker praised by Silva

29th December 2018, 11:37 by Nick Harris

Boss Marco Silva says he is happy with the efforts of Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin but he could still give more.

Calvert-Lewin has started the last three games for Everton and has managed three goals in 17 Premier League appearances so far this season.

Ahead of the trip to Brighton Silva says he has every faith in the frontman but that he knows he still has room for improvement, as have the rest of the team.

"I am happy with him, but I want more because he has the quality to give more to us as a team and to improve more and more and more," he said.

"He has some specific skills I like in a striker and he knows what I expect from him and the work we are doing with him.

"If he has started the last three matches, it is because he deserves it and I believe in him."
