Turkey stint could continue for Onyekuru

16th July 2019, 11:12 by Jack Ogalbe

Everton forward Henry Onyekuru could be set for a third straight season out on loan as Galatasaray are reportedly keen to keep him.

The Nigerian joined the Toffees from Eupen in the summer of 2017 but was immediately sent back to Belgium, spending the 2017-18 campaign at Anderlecht.

Onyekuru was then loaned to Galatasaray last term and helped the Yellow-Reds win the Super Lig title, netting 14 goals.

The 22-year-old's form was said to have caught the eye of Bayern Munich and the player himself admitted his desire to move to one of Europe's "big leagues" next season.

It appears Marco Silva is still to decide on whether he is ready to feature regularly at Goodison Park and Gala are keen to take advantage.

Reports in Istanbul say the Turkish champions are set to offer 1.5million euros to seal his services for another campaign, with boss Fatih Terim a big fan of the Onitsha-born star.
