West Brom told to forget Holgate wishes
West Brom want to sign Mason Holgate permanently if they are promoted this season but Everton have no plans to sell the defender.
Reports in the Midlands claim the Championship club are keen to sort out a deal with the Toffees after Holgate impressed during the early weeks of his loan spell.
The 22-year-old arrived at The Hawthorns in January and has already bagged three assists in nine appearances, as Darren Moore's side chase promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
He had become only a bit-part in Marco Silva's plans despite stepping in during an injury and suspension crisis earlier this season.
The former Barnsley player was called on in the opening game of the current campaign term following a red card for Phil Jagielka, and kept his place for some weeks as injuries kept Michael Keane and Yerry Mina out of the side.
And the Liverpool Echo claim Everton are in no mood to give up on the youngster yet and see him as a first-team squad player for next season.
