Youngster tipped to go far
Anthony Gordon has got a massive future ahead of him at Everton, according to Under-23 boss David Unsworth.
Gordon last week put pen to paper on a new deal at Goodison Park to keep him out of the hands of interested rivals, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund both said to be monitoring his services.
The England youth international has already appeared for the first team in the Europa League and is being tipped as one for the future, with Unsworth admitting they are happy to have him signed up to a new deal.
"I’m delighted. When you are 17, you are always looking over your shoulder and wondering: 'Is it coming? Is it coming?'," Unsworth told ECHO.
"But his performances have been fantastic for us, he’s a great lad and we’re delighted to have got his signature on a contract.
"He’s got a bright future.”
