Babel eyeing Euro 2020 action

24th April 2019, 17:14 by Alex Jack

Fulham's Ryan Babel is believed to be eager to stay in the Premier League next term to boost his chances of playing at Euro 2020.

The Dutch forward made a return to the English top flight earlier this year, eight years after he left Liverpool, when signing a short-term deal in west London with the struggling Cottagers.

Babel has scored four goals in the Premier League since his arrival but he was not able to do enough to help Scott Parker's side being relegated down to the Championship.

The experienced forward, who has been linked with a return to Turkey, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce interested, is thought to be keen on staying in the Premier League and trying to earn a place in the Dutch squad for Euro 2020.
